Harvest Festival

Scan0001Fall is a wonderful time at Wyalusing State Park. Cool days, brightly colored trees, campfires ringed with laughter, and family gatherings provide many memories at Wyalusing State Park.

Spend your days, touring the back roads of Crawford County. Stop by local orchards to sample and buy the bountiful harvest. Walk along the leaf strewn trails of Wyalusing State Park.

Then, return to Wyalusing State Park and celebrate Harvest Festival with the Friends of Wyalusing. Enjoy the pumpkin carving, live music, story telling, and luminaries along the accessible trails leading to scenic overlooks on top of the bluffs.

The event is held in the Peterson Pavilion Shelter. Roaring fires, treats, hot or cold cider, and hot chocolate will be provided by the ‘friends’. Donations are gratefully accepted.

16 Strings and a Stick will be providing music starting at 6:00 PM. The trio features acoustic guitars, a fiddle, vocal music, and Irish songs. This trio is bound to get your toes a tapping, and, who knows, maybe even a few audience members will get up and dance.

Jeff Lessard will provide stories about life in Prairie du Chien’s historic Fourth Ward, now called St. Feriole Island.

The festival is free to all, campers and park visitors alike. All you need is a state park vehicle pass which can be purchased as you enter the park.
