Randy Paske, vice president of the Friends of Wyalusing State Park, accepted the award from Friends of Wisconsin State Parks, President Tracy Schwalbe, and Chief of the Bureau of Parks and Recreation, Peter Biermeir.

The Gold Seal Award is a state-wide contest. Members of The Friends of Wisconsin State Parks nominate Wisconsin State Parks, Forests, or Trails for a predetermined group of awards. The award will be presented Wyalusing State Park Manager, Lisa Pitzer, and prominently displayed in the visitor center.

The Best Electric Site in Wisconsin is Site 143.
Site 143 is located on the bluff side of Wisconsin Ridge Campground. This non-reservable site is located 500 feet above the Wisconsin River.
Site 143 offers a panoramic view of the Wisconsin and Mississippi River plain, including Prairie du Chien.
Many a camper can be found just sitting or standing, gazing at the views during the day as well in the evening.
It is no wonder that Site 143 was voted the Gold Seal Award for the Best Electric Site.
